It's pretty amazing to think that Boo & I have been dating for 2 years and so we decided to plan an epic holiday to celebrate our love. And our destination is........ *drumroll*
MALDIVES~~

After arriving at Male International Airport, we took a ferry to Male City because we wanted to explore the city rather than rushing to the resort.
The Grand Friday Mosque is located inside the Islamic Centre (Masjid-al-Sultan Muhammad Thakurufaanu Al Auzam).

Memorial for the soldiers and citizens who died on the 3 November 1988 terrorist attack.

Old Friday Mosque (Hukuru Miskiiy) was built from coral stones in 1656.
Our luxurious "James Bond" speedboat :P

After about 15-20 minutes, we arrived at our resort! It looks like paradise....:)

We booked the Beach Villa because we feel that spending SGD$700-$1000/night on a Water Villa is just too extravagant. But hey, our Beach Villa looks awesome! It even have a porch, outdoor rain shower and beach front.

Day Two started a little too gloomy, was kinda disappointed because I actually woke up at 5:30am to catch the sunrise. Guess I have another excuse to sleep in then...
Thankfully the sky cleared up after breakfast and we decided to explore part of the island before our Dolphin Discovery Tour.
We also saw a couple getting married on the beach, looks super romantic and exotic

Even though we didn't manage to catch a glimpse of the Dolphins due to the changing weather, we
were actually pleased to spot a whole school of tuna, flying fish (seriously "flying") and spent a nice hour riding the waves.

Because the landscape of Maldives is so beautiful, we decided to make use of the location for our own DIY Photoshoot on Day Three.

And of course the local Maldivian bird which Boo is mad about...

After the photoshoot, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the SPA for a full body massage. The Velassaru Spa Infinity Pool is listed as one of the top 10 pools in the world.
--------------------
We spent the earlier part of Day 4 exploring the rest of the island before our Bioquest Snorkelling
session.
After our epic snorkelling session, we realise that our GoPro was dead due to a leak. Oh well... Oh the brighter side, I was totally looking forward to dinner because snorkelling kinda made me feel sick.
Boo planned a special, romantic and super exclusive dinner on the beach; to be honest I was blown away by the ambience and amazing food.
And just before the night ended, Boo popped the question and of course my answer was "YES". Poor Boo was so nervous that he kneeled down on both knees in our villa :P
Even though it wasn't a big scale flashmob proposal, I knew that it was simple, intimate and straight from the heart. I knew a few weeks before the trip that I can't live with him and for sure I would want to spend the rest of my life with him.
I'm truly thankful and wouldn't trade this trip for anything. Despite the many ups and downs in our relationship, I'm so proud that we stood by each other. When times were tough, we chose to stick even closer for strength and comfort.
For our family and friends who sent their best wishes, we are truly blessed beyond words. We appreciate each and every one of you! <3
